Coming Home retreat
21–27 September 2025 | Loural Eco Village, Portugal
This is an invitation.
A week of Ashtanga yoga, breath, and reconnection in the forested hills of central Portugal.
This is not a retreat to get away but a space to return.
To land. To exhale.
To remember who you are underneath the speed, the scroll, the roles.
We’ll be gathering in a small circle, cradled by trees and simplicity, to move and breathe together.
Each morning, we step into silence and practice — led by Vedanta Mishra, a truly gifted and humble teacher, Level 2 authorized by Sharath Jois (SYC). Whether you're new to Ashtanga or have been practicingfor years, this is a rare chance to study with someone deeply rooted in the tradition, in an intimate setting where you’re seen and supported.
And when the stillness calls — or the emotions rise — Karan and Flora are here to hold space with breathwork journeys, sound, and heartfelt moments of integration and connection.
This retreat is spacious, real, and full of depth.
It’s a week to come back to your breath, your body, and this Earth.
Not to become someone new, but to come home to the one you already are.
What you can expect:
Mysore-style Ashtanga practice with expert, personal guidance
Breathwork journeys to release and reconnect
Gentle rituals like tree planting, kirtan, and sound healing
Embodied yogic philosophy through how we move, relate, and rest
A return to your natural rhythm and sense of belonging
Evenings are shared in Sangha — by the fire or in the shala — with cacao, music, movement, and moments that nourish the heart.

Loural Eco Village
Loural Eco Village is nestled in the lush hills of central-Portugal, where mountain springs still flow and stars still speak.
It's off-grid, regenerative, and spacious in all the right ways.
The land holds a certain stillness that makes you listen more closely.
There are forest paths to walk barefoot, there is firewood for late-night songs. There is silence that doesn’t ask for anything...
This beautiful permaculture space is solar-powered, and the food is locally sourced, often from the land itself.
We feel deeply grateful to be welcomed by Dimitri, the guardian of this land.
During a tree-planting ceremony, Dimitri will share the story of this place. How it was dreamed into being, the principles of permaculture that guide its stewardship, and the deeper vision behind this sanctuary. His insights offer a glimpse into how this land supports regeneration, connection, and quiet transformation.

Facilitators
Vedanta Misra
Vedanta grew up in a Brahmin family immersed in devotional traditions, where mantra, meditation, and ritual were part of daily life. His journey into Ashtanga Yoga began as a response to life’s challenges and slowly deepened into a steady path of practice and service.
He is an authorized Level 2 Ashtanga teacher under the guidance of Sharath Jois in Mysore, India. His approach is grounded in breath, internal focus, and devotion to the simplicity of daily practice. With gentleness and clarity, he shares Mysore-style Ashtanga, philosophy from the Yoga Sutras and Advaita Vedanta, chanting, and reflections on conscious eating and Ayurvedic living.
What he offers is profound; structure, presence, and a space where practice becomes prayer
Karandeep Singh
Karan walks a gentle, sincere path through breath, touch, sound, and movement. His work is an evolving tapestry–drawing from breathwork, Chi Nei Tsang, yoga, sound healing, and meditation—but more than anything, it is an offering of presence.
Born in India, Karan carries the resonance of deep-rooted traditions while holding space in a way that feels grounded, contemporary, and accessible. During the retreat, he will offer breath journeys, sound experiences, and moments of musical connection through kirtan and cacao.
Floor Hoefkens
Flora will be gently weaving the threads of this retreat. She brings years of experience as a retreat facilitator, having led dozens of retreats and teacher trainings across Europe — always with deep intention and love.
She’ll guide sessions in yoga nidra, kirtan, sharing circles, and rituals, while tending to the unseen layers of the group field, helping each person feel welcome, safe, and free to arrive just as they are.
